ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I began photography at a young age with a 110 camera that belonged to my dad. I was always taking photos of our pets and the beautiful locations we visited while on vacation all over the United States.
Like any horse crazy little girl I dreamed of having a horse of my own. My family couldn't afford one so I collected model horses to fill that void. I started taking pictures of my models so I could 'photo show' them and win prizes. I finally saved up enough money to get a 'real' Canon camera with autofocus and everything!
I continued taking photos for myself for many years. I photographed anything from breathtaking landscapes to close encounters with wildlife. I took a few photography classes here and there and even joined the local photo club to share and learn.
In 2005 I finally made the switch to digital equipment and haven't looked back. I shoot with Canon cameras and lenses.
In 2006 I started my photography business. This combined my passion for photography with my love of horses and offered a service for the local community. I continue to take courses and I have a personal goal to take at least one workshop per year to improve and expand my skills. This is my commitment to you, my client. I occasionally photograph weddings, senior portraits and family portraits.
I share my life with my husband, six horses, three dogs and two cats. The horses include three Mustangs, two PMU draft cross rescues and an ancient Appaloosa. The dogs and cats are all rescues in some way as well.
